MY  STORY

My continual healing from past pains and disappointments has always been released while traveling the world and releasing my creativity. Funny thing is… I have never thought of myself as someone with artistic talent.                         (more below)

My sadness turns into joy as soon as I give myself permission to express myself with the performing arts. From my life experiences, I became a firm believer in create art outlets for all. I provide others space for that as a Dramatic Art Therapist, and now I want to reveal more of my artistry in performance and fashion.

In 2001, my high school teacher introduced me to improvisational games and acting. Despite all the doubts and fears in my mind, I took courage and auditioned for her. I began my theatrical career performing in the high school for Shakespeare's "Taming of the Shrew" as a valley girl wench, and performing as the chorus in the musical "Grease." Fast forward, I performed 3 monologues for "The Vagina Monologues" at CSU Long Beach in 2008 to raise social justice awareness and funding towards domestic violence. Performance has always been my first passion.

In 2012, I began to travel for the first time while being a nanny for Kelis. We ventured into 4 countries in two weeks. It went by so fast, but it opened my eyes to exploring the world and in fashion, as Kelis is a fashion icon. Fast forward some years, my friends and I begin to do photoshoots just for fun. It was like playing dress up before there were cell phones. It made me reflect on who we are as people, and having the freedom to express ourselves with clothing and how we have the power to express our own uniqueness. This reflection revved me up to continue to increase my sense of style and travels.

The creative things I do for myself, I also do with my clients who are diagnosed with mental health issues. I impart empathy and happiness with each creative art group and individual sessions. It became second nature to me, and I enjoy the spontaneity of it all.  I consider myself a mental health advocate and hold a national certification in Recreation therapy for the past 10 years. My specialization is in the theater arts, and most recently dance fitness.

I’ve learned a lot over the years, and the one thing I can say is there is power in the arts! It is important to take your truth and reveal your gifts to the world to inspire and help others.

I take my own truth to unleash more of my potential as I continue to create and express myself and inspire others to do the same.
